  Wanted to enjoy a nice meal out at one of the better restaurants in Campbell River on Sunday evening, which is why we chose Quay West. I ordered the filet black and blue and when it arrived i was sadly disappointed. The menu boasted of caramalised onion on the filet and roasted vegetables, the onions were not caramalised and barely even cooked at all where as the roasted vegetables were burnt and one vegetable which neither i nor my girlfriend recognised, as it was black throughout, we were told later was a purple carrot. The serving was small and did not warrant the $28.50 charge for it. I complained about the meal and was told a bit later that if i send the meal back the chef will make some more caramalised onions, at that stage we were two thirds through our meal and so wasn't appropriate. I was disgusted that at the end of the meal they still expected me to pay for the whole meal, no discount offered for misrepresentation and poor quality of the meal i ordered. I will be complaining to the management in writing.

  Quay west was a good stop. Nice atmosphere. Sat right on the waterfront outside and good indoor seating available too. They teased me with the tuna poke tacos but did not have so four stars. Pulled pork tacos were a delicious stand in none the less.

  Quite nice dinner. Fishermen's Stew was great. Good IPA beer. Barbara taco was great in taste, only downside was.the cold bao

  We had a really nice lunch. Good food ..Very relaxed overlooking the water.
